The Galapagos Islands are the most magical international destination for sport fishing. The

waters of the Galapagos Marine Reserve, particularly the banks off the island of San Cristobal

are celebrated for their extraordinary abundance of hard-fighting billfish, particularly Striped

Marlin and Tuna which are found in spectacular numbers. The inshore fishing is equally

rewarding allowing visitors to catch different species in a day of fishing.

Our next days will usually begin at 6:00 am, we will travel to the eastern side of the Galapagos

Islands, where anglers will have to opportunity to fish the best fishing areas of the Archipelago.

Is not unusual to have 10-30 Marlin strikes a day, as well as multiple hookups.

Expect to catch Striped Marlin within an average of 200 - 350 lbs. Blue Marlin average 400 lbs

with much larger ones hooked and Black Marlin average 450 plus!

Species that can be targeted with Fly equipment:

Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin (December-August). Striped Marlin is the

predominantly specie in the islands, with an average of 200-300 lbs, and in some cases

you will find 400-600 lbs fish.

Blackfin Tuna and Yellowfin Tuna, with an average of 30-150 lbs and in many cases they can

weight more than 200 lbs +.

Dorado (Mahi-Mahi) with an average of 10-60 lbs.

Wahoo, Jacks and Cuberas are fish that are also found on the islands and can be caught in

some cases with fly or conventional gear.
