9 Days 8 Nights 5 Days of Fishing

A mixture of culture, beautiful landscapes and different fishing techniques make the Ecuadorian Andes a perfect fly fishing destination for trophy rainbow trout.  

 

Our fishing plan is designed for you to experience the most exceptional fishing while enjoying Ecuadorian culture and it’s unique biodiversity.

 

Your first day in Ecuador will be used to acclimate.  Due to the height of altitude, the day will be spent enjoying a memorable City Tour filled with Quito’s beautiful surroundings and its delicious gastronomy.

 

Days 2 and 3  will be filled with fishing in the Andes. This will take place at an under fished, private location. This National Park is surrounded by breathtaking mountains, endlessly flowing waterfalls and spring creeks.  These creeks sustain a considerably large population of Rainbow Trout. Our best fishing technique here will be streamer fishing.

 

The fourth day we will fly out to Cuenca. This city is one of the largest and most popular cities of Ecuador.  It’s well recognized as a prime location for Americans to retire.  Once our flight arrives we will enjoy a day of fishing on the main urban river of the city.  Nymph fishing will be the key to great success here. 

 

The fifth and sixth day of Cuenca we will have the opportunity to enjoy top water fishing.  Big dry flies and foam bugs catch the Trout’s attention and on many occasions can produce trophies from 4-9 pounds.

 

The seventh day we return to Quito.  Our afternoon/evening will be filled with a picture perfect opportunity that give you the best view of the city while enjoying a pairing cuisine.  This will be unforgettable and will surely leave you wanting more.
